It's just after ten and I'm already completely knackered. Mike and the cats are fast asleep; they were tired too.
At least it feels good to be back in some sort of daily routine again. I've had at least one lecture or seminar each day this week and then I've been busy reading books.
I like having a lot to do, because I get more done that way. When I have got no work to look into, no train to catch or no people to see I tend to do nothing, despite all the spare time. I need to have a lot to do because that way I'm forced to squeeze things in between other things and suddenly I get a lot done in short time. Procrastination and inactivity brings me down and makes me ask all those big questions of what's the meaning with it all. So I better stay active, to save the world from numerous diary posts oozing of teenage angst and pretentious analysis of life.

Indiepop Is My Boyfriend
I used to have a blog (or some sort of public diary as I like to call it) but just stopped posting a couple of years ago. I then moved to England and did not feel the urge to type up my life as I was too busy living it.
I have since then returned to my hometown of Stockholm and I thought that maybe I would have something to say again. I've returned to go back to university, and in a few (well, four) years I will be a teacher of social sciences to college students.
My partner and I live in a little flat that I had even before moving abroad. It was perfect for me but is too small for two people. It is frustrating not having the possibility to close a door and be alone. Especially since we have also got two cats in here, Calvinberry and Dickon.
Calvinberry was a feral kitten that we got from a shelter in Rotherham. After some arguing we agreed on naming her after Calvin Johnson of Beat Happening and K Records fame and Pam Berry of Black Tambourine/The Pines etc. Now Calvinberry is something as unusual as a cat living abroad and she's got a passport and has been on an aeroplane and everything. It should be mentioned that she did not appreciate this, but she's alright now. Dickon is our newest recruit, only about five months old. His fur is very white so I found it suitable to call him Dickon, after super peroxide blonde Fosca frontman Dickon Edwards. Kitty Dickon is a pesky little bugger who enjoys climbing curtains, eating toilet roll and being a general nuisance. But he is lovely when he's asleep.
By the amount I've just written about them it may seem that my cats are my only interest. That is not correct. Other things that occupy my time and thoughts are indiepop and films and nice design and indiepop and shoes and books and politics and indiepop and far too many vintage frocks.
Unfortunately, most of my friends who share my interests live in London and Sheffield and Glasgow and the rest of the UK. The majority of the friends I had here only like going to club nights playing house and trance and the rest of the time play with their computers these days.
I don't know if there is still an indiepop scene in Stockholm, but that's something I'm determined to find out. If there is one I'll join and if there isn't, well then I'll create one. So, anyone needing an indiepopster in Stockholm (or one in general) - you know where to find me!
